GReddy at the LA Auto Show

After a very successful trip to Las Vegas for the SEMA Show, the GReddy Racing Scion FR-S Prototype will have it's first public viewing at the world famous LA Auto Show. 

You can catch the GReddy Racing Scion FR-S Prototype in the Scion booth (within the South Hall of the LA Convention Center).  The LA Auto Show will run from Saturday, Nov. 22nd through Sunday, Dec. 1st.

FV Blow Off Valve Kits for the GDB and CT9A

UPDATE: also CZ4A & GRB versions here.

 

With the introduction of the new FV "Floating Valve" Blow Off Valve, GReddy application specific BOV kits are also getting upgraded. 

Some of the first to arrive in the USA are the bolt-on kits for the popular (GDB) WRX / STI and (CT9A) Evo8/9 turbo applications.  Both of these kits include all the proper adapters and hardware to install a GReddy FV Blow off Valve and allow for recirculation of the blow off back into the air intake track.  (But it can also be configured to blow open to atmosphere.)

Sucessful SEMA Show for GReddy

 SEMA Show marked GReddy Performance Products' 15th-time exhibiting at the largest aftermarket trade show and wins the PlayStation Gran Turismo "Best Asian Import" Award for the 2nd time!

With a more intimate meeting style booth (#50308) for current authorized and new prospective dealers, GReddy introduced big news for 2014 and garnered a huge buzz on the internet for the new revealed GReddy Racing Scion FR-S Prototype built for Ken Gushi...


Famed aero kit designer, Kei Muira from TRA Kyoto- Rocket Bunny was also at SEMA.  GReddy announced at the SEMA Show the availability and pricing of more (Japanese-made) Rocket Bunny Aero Kits, including the highly-anticipated, FR-S/BRZ Ver.2 kit (shown on the GReddy Racing Scion FR-S Prototype)

 

In addition to GReddy winning the PlayStation Gran Turismo Award, the Scion booth picked up SEMA's Hottest Sport Compact of the show for the second year in a row, for the FR-S, and the Takata Racing booth (where the GReddy Performance X Scion Racing Drift FR-S was displayed) also won an award for the Global Media Awards.  Congratulations to Scion and Takata!

GReddy Wins the Gran Turismo Award for a 2nd Time!

The SEMA Gran Turismo Awards is a set of awards given by the creators of Gran Turismo (Kaz Yamaguchi) to the best cars on display at the annual SEMA Motor Show in Las Vegas.

And at the 2013 SEMA Show the GReddy Team was awarded it's second Gran Turismo Award for "Best Asian Import" -  GReddy Racing Scion FR-S Prototype.

The theme of the build was GReddy Pro Driver, Ken Gushi's Dream GReddy Race Car.
The GReddy Racing Scion FR-S Prototype features a GReddy built 2JZ-GTE, inline 6 cylinder engine, powered by a GReddy T88H-38GK Turbo, Type 29R Intercooler and Cast Intake Manifold.  The exterior is wrapped in the new Rocket Bunny Ver.2 Wide-body FR-S/BRZ Aero Kit.  The racecar project also uses: Takata Racing Seats and Belts, 19" Ray's Gram Light 57FXX wheels, Hankook R-S3 Tires, KW motorsports coil-overs, SPL Parts rear suspension arms, Wilwood brakes, G-Force GSR transmission, OS Giken clutch and LSD as well as a host of custom GReddy components.

2013 GReddy SEMA Show Build

On Oct. 29th, Scion held a special pre-media event, to debut some special Scions for the upcoming SEMA Show...

One of the hit reveals was the new GReddy Racing Scion FR-S Prototype!

The concept for the prototype, was to build Formula Drift Driver, Ken Gushi's dream race car.  With that in mind, the GReddy R&D team, started out with a salvaged FR-S from the recent Oklahoma floods.  Since the factory drive-train was no longer useable, the team opted for a tried and true power plant - A GReddy T88H-38GK powered 2JZ-GTE, inline 6 engine.

To help make a GReddy Racing Scion FR-S Prototype event better, we insisted the help of many of the same partners we used in the 2011-2012 GReddy Performance X Scion Racing Drift FR-S... Rocket Bunny, Rays Gram Light, Takata Racing, Hankook, KW, OS Giken, G-force, SPL Parts, Spin, a host of GReddy products and just a few touches from the Scion 10Series FR-S.
