Just 30days til the start of the Formula Drift season

Over the "off season" the GReddy Team has been hard at work revising and updating the GReddy Performance X Scion Racing Drift FR-S.  The 2012 FR-S chassis and engine was stripped down, painted and refreshed for the 2013 Formula Drift Championships.  The car will not only look different on the outside, with a GReddy + Rocket Bunny FR-S Aero kit and our new 2013 graphics, but under the hood as well, with another, more powerful, evolution to our flat 4-cylinder Formula D spec Turbo Kit.  It will be exciting to see our driver, Ken Gushi attacking the tight Long Beach street course once again...

Preview of the upcoming FR-S / BRZ Turbo Kit

As many of you might have seen online, we have been hard at work, developing a GReddy Tuner Turbo Kit for the Scion FR-S / Subaru BRZ / Toyota 86.  The prototype kit debut at the 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon. After extensive R&D in Japan on our black USA Spec. Scion FR-S (with it's GReddy X Rocket Bunny Aero,) we have doubled up testing on a special, 2nd, local Southern California vehicle....



And who better to help us test out the new turbo kit and put it through it's paces,  then a person who has extensive experience driving the FR-S; Ken Gushi our Formula Drift pro-driver.  Recently we installed another prototype Turbo Kit on Ken's personal red FR-S.  (for more on Ken's previous upgrades, see the SR Blog.)


Now here is a preview of some of the details of the kit:  Top-mounted GReddy T518Z Turbocharger, 4-1 SUS header-type exhaust manifold with dual flex pipes, large SUS down pipe, free flow Airinx intake, direct aluminum intercooler piping routing, and efficient lightweight tube and fin front-mounted Intercooler.   (*also compatible with front-mounted GReddy Circuit Spec Oil Cooler Kit)
