GReddy Profec - Electronic Boost Controller

Compact, Powerful, & Easy to Use

GReddy is proud to introduce the next evolution in the GReddy PRofec line of electronic boost controllers.
Unique compact OLED Display and improved CPU processor improve performance and stability.  And the new layout improves usability.

    • Slim compact Control Unit mounts easily in the driver compartment, either flush mounted or with the included adjustable bracket.
    • Bright OLED screen makes easy work of programing and displaying boost - (in Numeric, Bar-Graph or Graphical modes)  [kPa or PSI]
    • Faster CPU processor and new, smaller Solenoid valve improve boost  response  and control for the most stable boost curves found in a Profec.
    • Intuitive program screens with simple Dial and button controls.
    • Separated, waterproof Sensor Unit with integrated 300kPa (43.5psi) high-performance pressure sensor remains in the engine compartment, for simple installations.
    • 3 Boost Settings - LO, HI and a timed Scramble Boost Mode (from 1-99sec.)
    • Configurable for both actuator-style and external wastegate types
    • Last Boost and Peak Hold Boost Recall, well as a Warning Alert and saftey Limiter functions
    •  Data Lock and 180degree mounting options.

    Profec Programing Basics:
The Profec is programed with the same 3, easy adjustments as the previous PRofec B-spec2 (SETGAIN, & START), but refines the programing to one simplified screen, for simple intuitive control. (While the PEAK recall in the programing screen helps the programer see what boost level was.)

    SET %
= Controls the target boost level.
As simple as a manual boost controller.  As you increase this percentage from 0-100% it increase boost over factory wastegate spring boost level
GAIN % = Controls the Wastegate response (stability) at higher RPMs.  So if the boost level tends to drop as the RPM rises, you can set the GAIN % to a higher positive value (0 to +100)  And if you want the boost to drop at higher RPMs you can set the GAIN % to a more negative valve (0 to -99)
START (Boost) = [CONTROL] Is a boost pressure value that determines Boost Response (or when the boost controller starts to open and close the wastegate.)  This is generally set 3-6psi (1-2kPa) below the desired boost level.  (if the boost "Spikes" then regains control, it is likely the START valve is too high and should be set lower.)  Under the START [NORMAL] setting (if used) the wastegate is allowed to open gradually to the START boost value (more similarly to a manual boost controller.  This maybe ideal for more complex sequnetial turbo set-ups.)

    Universal GReddy Air Filter Elements

The GReddy Hi Performance Pro Dry S universal air filters are constructed of multiple layers of progressively finer synthetic material. The deep-pleated conical shape with internal concave inlet top is bonded by a 100% polyurethane top and base. Two sizes of Air Filters are currently available, Medium & Small.  The "oil-free" Dry element provides great airflow and low service intervals, without the possibility of MAF sensor contamination.  Base outlet diameters are available in various sizes.

Universal GReddy Hi Performance Pro Dry S Air Filter (Dual Conical shape)

    Med 70mm   |   Med 80mm   |   Sm 80mm   |   Sm 70mm

Multiple layers of progressively finer dry synthetic material protect against contaminates.

Deep pleated construction increase the filtering surface area.

Available in a Medium and Small size to fit most universal Japanese import applications.

A comparison chart between previous Airinx AY-Type Air Filters.

The inverted top with the dual Conical Shape act to promote smooth air flow path and add more filtrating surface area.

The dry filter elements are sealed between 100% polyurethane base and top.

Currently we offer a 70 and 80mm dia flanged inlets with beads and stopper to insure proper seal between the piping and filter.

The internal shape of the base also aids to smooth airflow to the piping.

Also available are Universal GReddy RS Muffler and Tip units for custom exhaust

Formula D Irwindale & Season Coverage

Local Irwindale Speedway (the "House of Drift") was the location for the 7th and final round of the  2012 Formula Drift Championship Season.  And what an exciting 1st season it has been for the GReddy Performance X Scion Racing Drift FR-S Team... building a brand new, first ever Scion FR-S drift car, making it competitive and campaigning it for our 1st season in the premier series.

The GReddy Team is proud to be part of Ken Gushi's top 10 finish in the final 2012 standings.  Good start for a new vehicle and team.

Now on to Rd.7 coverage:  The weekend was filled with it's ups and downs for the team.  Friday: Although Ken didn't get in as much practice, as we had wanted, his experience and skill enabled him to put together an excellent 1st lap to qualify the GReddy Performance X Scion Racing Drift FR-S in 5th.  This marked a season best qualifying position.

In Saturday tandem battles, Ken went up against Toshiki Yoshioka in his turbo VQ S15.  These runs were some of closest, most exciting runs in Top32.  Yoshioka put great following pressure on Ken on the 1st run, but Ken was able to even better that in the 2nd run, giving the win to Ken and exciting the crowd and team.  He's a clip from the spectator stands...
The next battle had Ken up against Matt Field in his V8 NOS powered S14 for the 2nd consecutive event.  Unfortunately this time we did not win  against Field and, this would be our last set of tandem battles for the 2012 season.  Ending the event in Top16 and finishing the season with 379.5pt and in 8th place for the championship.

The car, driver and team have gelled together and evolved the GReddy Performance X Scion Racing Drift FR-S over the season and we all look forward to an even better 2013 Formula Drift Season with the Scion Racing Team...

    Congratulations to FD Rd.7 Winners
        1st - Daigo Saito     2nd - Justin Pawlak     3rd - Ryan Tuerick
     Congratulations to 2012 Series Champions
        1st - Daigo Saito     2nd - Vaughn Gittin     3rd - Rhys Millen
Congratulations to 2012 Scion Racing Teams

Formula Drift Finale is this Friday and Saturday!

    Rd.7 this Weekend
With just a few days left before the last round of our 1st season in the Formula Drift Championship.  We take a quick look back at our season so far (click on the rd. titles for our past blog post on each event.)

The GReddy Racing Team is proud of the progress in development of the GReddy Performance X Scion Racing Drift FR-S.  With hard work from the entire team and our technical partners like Hankook, KW, Cosworth and Ray's, we have evolved from being the very first FR-S built for professional drift competition in rd.1 to a true tandem drift contender, with veteran driver Ken Gushi, coming into this last round in Irwindale.  Over the past 6-7months, we have worked on improvements at each round.  This weekend Ken Gushi has the go ahead to go all out for this last round...  We look forward to some good runs at Rd.7  And watch out for next season!

And if you join us at Irwindale Saturday, @ScionRacing wants your photos of Ken or his Drift FR-S.  Tag @ScionRacing + #ScionRacing on Instagram and you will be entered in a drawing to win a GReddy Racing Team Jersey
