Thank you GReddy fans who attended or viewed our coverage from our GReddy Performance Product, Inc 30th Anniversary event. The celebration marked the GReddy brand in the USA since 1994. We are proud of part in the USA's Japanese tuning culture and we look forward to many more years of high performance fun. But before we get into the GReddy 30th Anniversary coverage (Fan Event Photos), we would like to recap some our proudest GPP highlights over our 30years here in the states (for posparity...) Top GPP Highlights 1994-2024

#1 The TRUST/GReddy brand has been producing high performance products since 1977 in Japan. However the GReddy brand officially got its start in North America with the estabishment of GReddy Performance Products, Inc. in March of 1994.

#2 In September of 1995, GPP moved into our 9 Vanderbilt Irvine CA Headquarter.  The same building we still occupy today. - (For the Grand Opening event the famous GReddy RX R32 GT-R was brought from Japan.)

#3 GPP's first major award came from our 50-state street legal Honda Civic bolt-on turbo kit, that also won the 1996 SEMA Show's Best New Product in the Street Performance category. 

#4 For the 1998 SEMA Import Auto Salon consumer show, the TRUST flagship GReddy RX S-Roc R33 GT-R made a tour of the USA with races and car shows.

#5 In the late '90s- early 2000s, Import Drag Racing was born and grew into a huge part of the culture.  GPP was at the forefront of supporting many of the top Import Racers of the time, with our T-Power turbo campaign. 

#6 GReddy was also there supporting one of the most ground breaking Import / FWD racers, Stephen Papadakis and his record-breaking FF Drag Civic(s).

#7 Another huge impact on the Import culture was the Fast and Furious movie franchise.  GReddy is proud for our early involvement in the long lasting series and the mainstream recognition it brought to the tuning industry.

#8 With the reintroduction of the Z  in 2002, GReddy developed the ground breaking twin turbo kit for the VQ35 350Z and lead the way in a number of magazine shoot-outs, as we also did with our Honda Si Challenge winning, GReddy Turbo EP3

#9 Contributions in the early years of American Drifting came for GReddy in 2003 with racers from Japan and the USA for the D1GP USA series and later the Formula Drift Pro Championships.  

#10 Setting new standards in SEMA Show builds, GReddy gained numerous accolades.  One fine example was our 2007 build with a fully modified (inside and out) GReddy 350Z HR Twin Turbo, which also won the Playstation GT Award for Best Japanese vehicle of the show.

#11 GPP also pushed the boundaries in Import shows, with another first, our largest GPP event ever, on Feb. 23 of 2008. It was called GReddyFEST and it was held at El Toro Airfield (It combined a performance driving, with product sales as well as a free car meet.)

#12 We also experienced some tough times like in 2008 with a reorganization, but we overcame that to be stronger and better, with help of great leadership (in the form of our very own Kenji Sumino as GPP president)

#13 2009 also marked a new era in tuning with the introduction of modern vehicle dynamics, like in the R35 GT-R.  GPP helped pioneer this platform and break records.  We even successfully challenge top tier American and European tuners with our very own GReddy RX GTR project

#14 2010 we began to bring the shows and meets to the GPP HQ, with the GReddyFest2.  This was a hit by geared to the popular Automotive Enthusiast Car Forums of the times. 

#15 In 2011 GPP made the moved to more racing series, joining the Scion car brand to campaign a tC for Time Attack and Pikes Peak as well as our start with Ken Gushi's (Scion) Toyota Formula Drift efforts with the FRS (that we still support to this day)

#16 For the 2013 and 2014 SEMA Shows, GPP won back to back Playstation Best Import GT Award wins for "Ken Gushi's 2JZ Rocket Bunny FRS and then the GReddy x Garrett Rocket Bunny R35 GTR project.

#17 Probably one of our most famous builds came for actor, Sung Kang (Han of the Fast & Furious Tokyo Drift) with his Pandem kitted S30 GReddy Fugu Z.  That not only gave our our third Playstation GT Award in a row but also the BEST of Show Award (immortalizing the car virtually in Grand Truism game.  It also helped spark the emergence of "Retro-mod Tuning"for imports.

#18 Mr. Miura of Rocket Bunny Pandem fame, entrusted GPP in building his 2018 SEMA Show car, the Pandem FC3S. It also turned heads and ended up winning Super Street's Ultimate Award Best of Show. 

#19 In 2019, the new Supra was introduced and the extreme GReddy A90 GR Supra was the hit of the show, winning yet another Super Street's Ultimate Award Best of show as well as the Toyota's own Best GR Supra (out of over 60 GR Supras at the show)  - (But this vehicle had an interspersing twist, as it later became the 1st fully autonomous drift TMI GR Supra)

#20 During the pandemic of 2020, the SEMA Show was cancelled and we took this opportunity to again break ground on an innovative idea to host a free virtual online car event called. GPP Live. (We also introduced our GPP complete engine program.)  It became a first of it's kind 4hour livestream car show on Facebook, with guest cars, interviews, celebrities and even online giveaways.

#21 More recently we have re-explored more of older Japanese supercars like the R32, R33, R34 GTR / RB26, and JZA80 Supra / 2JZ for new technology to tune these iconic Japanese classics.  Prime examples were the GReddy-built retro-mod. Dai33 GT-R and and Garage Active Dry Carbon #8 or GReddy RX2. 

#22 Growing since 2015 has been the GReddy line of Auto Enthusiast apparel and merchandise in both the GReddy and our Boost Brigade brands.  This has expanded to cool and unique collaborations with leading streetwear brands like in4mation, Student Driver, Huf Worldwide and now Lakai footwear.  With even more projects with the likes of Hot Wheels, Momo, Motul, Kaido House and more...

GREDDY AIRINX A/F-TYPE AIR FILTER SYSTEM

Designed specifically for use with popular JDM air flow meters which require application specific bolt-on adapters (or a more compact filter size, like the previous "mushroom" shaped Airinx AY-B), is the GReddy Airinx Air-Flow Meter Type System. The basic system is comprised of a specially-sized, large opening GReddy Airinx air filter, matching base plate along with an application specific molded Airinx AY airflow-meter adapter(s). GReddy offers two specific filter sizes, a smaller Airinx S with a 136mm dia. outlet to replace previous Airinx AY-SB filters and a medium sized Airinx M with a 172mm dia. outlet to replace previous Airinx AY-MB filters. This is especially ideal, when upgrading older GReddy Suction/Intake and Turbo kits which utilized previous Airinx AY-SB or AY-MB dome filters with application specific Airinx AY air-flow meter adapters.

 

AIRINX FILTER ELEMENT

The Airinx dry element filter with the molded polyurethane frame incorporates a specially-designed inverted structure with 3-layers of high-performance filtering elements in two specific compact sizes. The 136mm dia. A/F-type Airinx-S measures a compact H85 x T110mm dia. x B136mm dia. to approximate the dimensions of the previous “mushroom”-shaped Airinx AY-SB. (A/F-type Airinx-M: H105mm x T136mm dia. x 172mm dia. to replace Airinx AY-MB) The filter is decorated with molded GReddy Airinx logos and includes an additional GReddy emblem that can be attached to anywhere along the side of the filter element, 360deg. The dry Airinx element is ideal for air-flow meter use and is easily serviceable regular cleanings with mild soapy water and blowing with compressed air.

AIRINX BASEPLATE

The key to getting these A/F-type filter bodies to work with the previous AY adapters is the use of a required, matching 136mm dia. baseplate adapter for the Airinx S or 172mm dia. baseplate adapter for the Airinx M. These powder-coated formed-metal baseplate adapters allow the use of the existing molded Airinx AY air-flow meter adapters (that you may already have from a GReddy suction/intake or turbo kit.) The baseplates also have provisions for mounting brackets and a port for optional sensors, if necessary. 

 AIRINX AY AIR-FLOW METER ADAPTERS

There are two series of S and M-sized Airinx AY molded-polyurethane adapters. They come in various application specific shapes to match many popular Japanese air-flow meter types, like for the RB26, Z32, RB25, RB20, SR20, VQ35, 1JZ and 4G63. Also available are standard round adapters that range from 50mm all the way up to 100mm diameter, if you eventually decide to eliminate the factory air-flow meter in the future. (or have space confinements and require a lower-profile air filter assembly, than the standard Airinx S or M.)

Greddy Performance Products Upgraded Intercooler Kits for the FK8, FC1, FC3, FK7 Civic

Now in addition to the high quality construction, simple install,  improved cooling and stylish looks, the Greddy Performance Products Civic Intercooler kits for the '16-'19 Civic Sport / Si and '17-'19 Civic Type-R are now 50-state street legal via California Air Resources Board Executive Order D-397-11. (as of 4/21/2020)

The Greddy Performance Products Intercooler Upgrade Kits for the 10th Gen. Civics (FK8 Civic Type-R, FC1/FC3 Civic Si, and FK7 Civic Sport Hatchback) include upgraded replacement aluminum hard-piping and feature our world renown “tube and fin” intercooler cores with our carefully matched “inner-fin” structure for an ideal balance of high cooling with low pressure drop (not cheaper extruded inner tubes). This effective design is not only light-weight and efficient for cooling down air intake temperatures of turbo boost, but it’s external aerodynamic tube and fin profile helps keep vital cooling systems like the radiator feed with cool ambient air-flow, when in motion or with just the stock fan. This contributes to an overall more effective cooling solution for the a turbocharged Civic in many types of applications (road course, autocross, drag, etc...)

To keep engine power up and consistent, lap after lap, it is important to address the stock intercooler. The latest generation of Honda factory turbocharged engines make great power when cool, but use a compact OEM intercooler, which tends to easily retain heat. This “heat soak” along with the ECU’s sensitive safety protocols reduces engine power by compensating with lower boost levels and retarded timing. During our “back to back to back” tests, the OEM factory intercooler saw loss in power of up to: -25hp/20ft/lbs for the K20 (CTR) and -20hp/12ft/lbs for the L15 (Sport/Si). While our larger more heat-soak-resistant, GPP intercooler kits, maintained consistent gains over stock of through the lower-mid to high RPM range, even after more than 3 consecutive dyno runs.

GPP offers two sizes of intercooler cores for each application to choose from: a medium sized core and a larger core. Both kits will offer more consistent cooling for stock turbo and moderate boost up applications, however for high boost levels with more intense tuning, or large turbo upgrades, the larger core option will often be the ideal choice. However, when lower-end boost response is a priority the medium size selection is preferred. GPP Intercooler kits offer efficient, light-weight performance gains, with an easy bolt-on installation.

The GReddy PRofec is compact, powerful and easy to use electronic boost contorller for standard pneumatic actuator or external wastegates. The large OLED Display, with the simple two-button / rotary-dial control, make for intuitive operation. An ultra slim controller can display in digital, bar-graph, or graphical modes and can be rotated 180 degree for installation with the included adjustable mount or flush mounted. By separating the display and control unit in the driver’s compartment, from the engine compartment-mounted, waterproof, sensor unit, it makes installation straightforward. Only one thin harness is required to be routed through the firewall. The combination of the new 300kPa (43.5psi) integrated pressure sensor, the more compact solenoid valve and faster ECU processer, provide quicker response and the most stable boost curves yet. The PRofec also maintains popular features like, Lo, Hi, Scramble boost presets, last-boost display, peak-hold recall, warning alert and safety limiter.

 

All three are compatible with the Profec MAP expansion module for even finer boost adjustments.

To further improve the the flow and performance of your GReddy (FK8) cat-back exhaust for the Civic Type R, we have released this optional full 3" (non-tapered) forward midpipe, that will replace the orginal Supreme SP (& HG) forward midpipe. The slight taper in the standard Supreme SP forward midpipe (is designed to mate upto the factory overpipe flange and) more than adequate for use with the Civic Type R factory catalytic conveter and factory front overpipe, but when upgrading these units, you may aslo want to maximize the flow with a full 3" (76mm) stainless steel forward midpipe upgrade. Specially designed flanges and gaskets allow for a perfect match to our emissions friendly (cat-back) 3' Front Overpipe (p/n 10558600sold separately).
